How to upgrade from v3.5?

Q: I want to upgrade my old v3.5 Vivvo site to v4. What should I do?

 

A: You cannot simply upgrade 3.5 to 4.0, because those two versions are pretty much different, you will have to do clean install, with restoring database and /files content.  Please follow the next few steps:
- make a v3.5 backup and save content of your v3.5 /files folder
- do the clean installation of v4
- use the DB Importer plug-in to restore your v3.5 backup to v4
- upload saved content of v3.5 /files folder to v4 /files

If you upgrade from some older version you need to upgrade step by step: v3.2 -> v3.25 -> v3.4 -> v3.5
