404 Page Not Found Error

Q: I get a 404 Page Not Found error when clicking on any link on my website. How to fix it?

A: This issue is related to the Friendly URL option in Vivvo you’re using. You need to verify that you have mod_rewrite option enabled and configured on your web server. To check if you have mod_rewrite option enabled, please download our system requirements checklist (http://www.vivvo.net/check.zip), upload it on your web server and run it by entering this address in your browser (http://www.example.com/check/index.php).

If mod_rewrite is not enabled on your web server and your server administrator will not or cannot enable it for you, go to the Modules section of the Preferences menu and turn off Friendly URL option in Vivvo.

Also, check if you have uploaded .htaccess file correctly in the root folder of your Vivvo CMS. Some FTP clients do not see the .htaccess file and skip to upload it (make sure to have the option in your FTP client to show hidden files enabled).
