stripslashes in page title?

My sites name has an apostrophe (') in it.

When my page title is displayed in a browser the apostrophe is still escaped with a backslash (\).

Is it possible to use stripslashes on the page title so it is displayed correctly?

While reviewing my settings I noticed my site name had a \' stored in preferences.

I am more than certain I did not enter it this why (no one would do that).

So I updated my site name in preferences to remove the backslash and clicked save.

I was sent to a blank page, but when I reloaded my site name was correct (without the backslash).
