Default Unexpected issue with RSS feed importer . .?

Baffle baffle...

The feed importer plugin works just fine - nice piece of work.
However after pulling in x number of feeds OK, then clicking on one visible on the home page:

What appears to be a link . . 'Lessons from the 'Small Business Web' is shown. But if you click on this, it doesn't take you where you'd expect - to the originating newspaper's site. See screenshot [RSSfeed1.jpg]

Instead, you get what is shown in [RSSfeed2.jpg].Just the title, 2-line abstract - and rest of page blank.

Have scoured the forums without solution - any clues, anyone please?

THREE MORE NOTES:

1. See [RSSfeed1.jpg]: For the first item in each category, I notice the blue 'more' symbol is shoved down to the next line, whereas in all subsequent items beneath, it's in the correct place at the end of the line. Any ideas?
{Could change <div class="category headline"> to <div class="short"> but prefer not to}

2. I found that articles from RSS feeds could not be deleted manually from the articles list. They would initially vanish off the list OK, but were still visible in the database, and would reappear on the articles list.
After two lost hours, the only way I could cure this was to set Auto archive=0days.
-Error message Article does not exist. (2016) also showed up.
-Hosting and mySQL run flawlessly.

Is it meant to function like this, or have I missed something?

3. Using Maintenance > clean cache I get this result:

- Clean cache folder
- Clean feed cache folder
- Clean thumbnail cache folder
- Clean database cache folder

I'm assuming that Clean feed cache folder was unsuccessful. ?

Vivvo seems pretty intuitive and robust - only a couple of small wrinkles to sort out and we should be all set.

Thanks.

I didn't have this error before. I think the best solution is opening the support ticket so our team will help you.

Default Process of elimination . .

By applying the mods posted at
http://www.vivvo.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6183
but this time WITHOUT the tweak (below) advised by jeffshead, it works.

It would be optimum to open (origin) feed page in a new window - any insights on why the substituted code:

Code:
<h2><a href="{article.get_link}" target="_blank"><vte:value select="{article.get_title}" /></a></h2>
does not produce 'open in new window' result ?

Can anyone confirm the issue queried above re maint/clean:
- Clean cache folder
- Clean feed cache folder <<<< defekt ?
- Clean thumbnail cache folder
- Clean database cache folder

There seems to be a connection.

Thanks.
