Default Article Ratings...

Is there currently a way that I can modify the ratings system in Vivvo. As of right now, one someone would rate an article - (IE: 4 stars, etc) - it then perminately sets that rating for that user. I've been testing a few things to try to change it to allow them to actually CHANGE their rating (if they made a mistake, or change their mind)... meaning that they could reduce to lower star rating, or increase.

Thanks for reading and any tips....

No can do, I'm afraid. Although, I can use this as one more vote for stronger member personalization interface when fighting with developers who are against this

Bascally, being able to amend own vote would require storing/serializing member actions (voting, rating, commenting, etc.) I had such aspirations for 4.1 but I was outnumbered

me too! Of course... I understand about it possibly being a complex thing of sorts.

In the meantime - does anyone happen to know of a 3-party way to incorporate some kind of changable ratings/voting system? I'll do some looking around too to see what I find out there in cyberspace...

FYI... I actually noticed on Vivvo's main site (when logged in looking at downloads for instance) - the article rate on the left hand side. When I voted on something - then if I hovered over it - it still moved the stars around as though I could vote again (though it doesn't appear that I could). However, just that alone may solve the client end request, at least for the time being.

How was something like that very thing set up? I mean, still allowing the stars to move on hover (grayed out) even if the user has already rated the article?

Thanks!

Hmmm Boccio I thought you owned Spoon Labs If you do, CRACK THE WHIP hehee vote me down for stronger member personalization as well. To be honest I'd like to see some type of neato ajax interface where they can move stuff around and do some cool stuff with the home page as well (maybe add some widgets and be able to use it as a start page). Tell them to think ADDON that people would PAY EXTRA for

P.S. I heard you had girls "manning" the support desk... I vote for a Vivvo Support Swimsuit Calendar while I'm at it. Chicks that know stuff, that's "a nice".

(To all the women who are about to call me a sexist pig, please, yes, I know I'm sorry, my wife beats me already but it obviously does no good)

I hope this feature is going to be included on the next version. It would be really good to have this feature supported.
