featured author box 4.1rc - problem

in admin>pref>modules if i select "no" for "Enable author page:" option the feautred author box is still visible on the index page.

is that a bug or am i blind and can't find where to disable the featured author box?

Enable author page - Define if your author’s page will be accessible for your visitors. For more details go to Article preferences settings.

If you want to remove featured author box, go to Admin >> Preferences >> Users >> Users tab.
There you'll find Show featured author box option.
