goto youtube.com that's video on demand. The definition is basically video that is shown to a user when they decide they want to view it. Generally there is a selection (choices) of various video, the user clicks one, and it starts playing.
(VOD) = Video On Demand.
If you have the standard license like I do. You don't get custom fields. Without custom fields the youtube plugin that lets you embed youtube video feeds into your site content will not work.
It's one of the reasons we are going to be upgrading. The nice part about embedding the feed is you are making the content available to your readers, but the bandwidth is supplied by youtube (thank you google for all those wonderful resources!)
Don't get me wrong, I'm far from an expert in this stuff, the general idea here is accurate I think, the actual details maybe slightly different.
