Open VIVVO_ROOT/templates/VIVVO_TEMPLATE_DIR/article/default.tpl and try to find this line:

<img src="{VIVVO_URL}thumbnail.php?file={article.image}&amp;size=article_medium" alt="image" />

In `alt` attribute you can put {LNG_EXAMPLE} tag. This tag you need to put in lang file. Also you can put only text in this attribute.

you can use {article.get_title} tag.
This gives you as image alt the title of the article and helps a lot to SEs
