vBulletin integration FAQ
Q: I have a vBulletin site. I'd like to add a Vivvo news site for my users. Will Vivvo 4 allow users to register through vBulletin and automatically become registered in Vivvo?
A: Yes, once you install Vivvo, and activate vBulletin integration all existing vBulletin users will automatically become Vivvo members.
Q: So, Vivvo users will actually be using the VB user login?
A: Exactly. Vivvo will use vB user table for registrations and logins.
Q: OK, so how is the commenting system supposed to work? In what way is the commenting system integrated?
A: Once somebody posts the very first comment on an article, a thread in vBulletin is created by ArticleBot. From that point on, latest n comments from the thread are pulled on the article (Vivvo) page as "latest comments", and every respective user who clicks on "post a comment" is taken to corresponding thread inside vBulletin.
Q: What about vBulletin “last forum posts” on my Vivvo homepage?
A: Very much possible. We just didn’t make this out-of-the-box, but with “External Data Provider” set to “JavaScript” in vBulletin administration, and our simple How-To, you can make this happen in 10 minutes.
For more information, please refer to official Plug-in Manual for vBulletin integration:

That's great, I have another few quick questions about this. Is the new thread that holds the comments created automatically by ArticleBot, and can I choose what part of the forum the thread is created on?
When n comments are posted for an article, do the comments appear both on the article and on the thread, or are all the comments relocated to the thread only? Is there a way to configure comments to only appear on the corresponding thread?
Lastly, you mentioned...

Can you post a link to the "How-To" for this, or is it included as part of the plug-in manual?
Thanks again.

Yes, it is created automatically. You can enter the ID of the forum where you want it.

They appear both on the article and on the thread. You can remove the comments from Vivvo template, this way you'll have them only on vB thread.

Is it possible to have vB running inside of Vivvo as another page?
I have a third party Knowledge Base system from Interspire that I use. Can this run as a page inside of Vivvo? I currently do this as an iframe inside of my vBulletin using WebTemplates ( Link).
What type of menu system is used? Can the vBulletin conditions be used inside of the menu?
Does each page follow the template layout, or can they be customized? It looks like the same content is on the right and left of each of the pages in the demo section.
Thanks, Cliff

Technically, it is absolutely possible, whatever you put inside IFRAME will work...

I have a plan to order Vivvo. Before ordering I'll be happy if you clear some questions about Vbulletin Integration.
We already install the trying version to our test server.
Also I visited some Vivvo working web sites.
You can see the one of them's screenshot below. My question is about integration:
- Why there is only email? How about the "Your Name" field?
- Why there is a coptcha while I was login?
And can you show me a working good integration example; yours or your customer's.
Thank you.

I have patient. But i'm confused.
This morning Boccio answer another question but not this one.
Is that means at the moment there is a bug about Vbulletin integration?
(Or may question is not clear, etc...)

I'm not exactly sure what is your question? There is no bugs in vBulletin installation, I assure you that.
The screenshot you posted shows our comment form. When vBulletin integration is enabled, you are taken away from actual article to corresponding vB thread to post your comment. Therefore, with this integration activated you won't see captcha or anything else.
Hope this answers your question
