Total Count in a given category and it's subcat

Hello,

Using following i can get count of articles in a category or a subcategory (on say more_news.tpl or category/default.tpl )

<vte:value select="{article_list_object.get_total_count}" />

Is it possible to get the count of articles in a given category and all it's subcategories?

Following worked:

<vte:param name="search_cid" value="{category.get_id},{category.get_descendent_ids|implode:','}" />

With following

<vte:value select="{article_list_object.get_total_count}" />

Gives correct count taking care of recursion (subcat).
