html pages outside Vivvo

It seems Vivvo will not allow html pages anywhere on my domain except those created by Vivvo. For example, I create a regular html page with Dreamweaver and stick it in a folder. Then when I try to access it, I get the Vivvo page not found message. Won't even work in a subdomain. Is that supposed to happen? Any way around it?
