Default Files directory Epand/Collapse

Hello,

For the Files the directory structure is displayed with everything exp[anded so for a case where there are directories/sub-directories it leads to a long vertical scroll. It would look more neat if the root folders have expand (+) Collapse (-) feature if there's a subdirectory beneath the directory. Perhaps this could help:

I mentioned this back in August but no one paid any attention...

This is a very big problem specially if you have hundreds of photos you need to arrange by date/year etc. Another addition which should be considered is the option to be able to store files using a third party cdn i.e Amazon's aws.

For this try following :
(1) Creating a backup of admin/templates/assets/link.xml
(2) In list.xml around line 38

replace

Code:
<option value="{VIVVO_FS_FILES_DIR}">
<vte:value select="{VIVVO_FS_FILES_DIR}" /></option>
with

Code:
<option value="{VIVVO_FS_FILES_DIR|preg_replace:'`/$`',''}"><vte:value select="{VIVVO_FS_FILES_DIR|preg_replace:'`/$`',''}" /></option>
Save and test.
This is based on comparison of tabs.xml and list.xml and i know nothing of coding.

Regards

Now available as custom work and Screenshot attached for reference.
Can expand and collapse each tree independently. Default it opens all collapsed.

PM for details.

Above screenshot is for Files section.
The same works on Modal window also (Insert Image/Abstract Image File select) but since on file click the entire window goes through refresh the expanded tree closes. The tree loads collapsed on page load so this cannot be changed. Screnshot of modal window is as shown below but after re-expanding the collapsed tree (as tree collapsed on clicking on "image" folder as shown in screenshot below).
