Javascript/Flash embed not working

Hi everyone -

We seem to be having problems trying to get certain javascript code to work with the site, and I was wondering if anyone else has found a way around it. We're finding it happening in two places:

- When trying to embed Flash files using Macromedia's AC_RunActiveContent script, it breaks the page. We are not embedding the Flash through the WYSIWYG editor, but rather embedding it directly into the template. Using the script breaks the page, and not using the script (by using the now-outdated object tags) is causing some browsers to block it's functionality. Is there a way around this

- We have some ad serving on our site, and we've used a javascript to generate the ads on other sites we own. That Javascript doesn't work either, and the ads simply don't appear. At the moment we are using simple image tags to serve teh ads, but it's far from ideal, and makes tracking difficult. By not using teh script, it makes serving Flash ads impossible, which is going to cost us in the longer term.

Has anyone else had these sorts fo issues, and if so, how have they been fixed? Thanks in advance for all the help!
