Thumbs up

Hi Jon,
That is good to know. However it will have to do for now, but you really must agree that that is not to practical when trying to deal with a large subscriber base. I not saying I have a large subscriber base yet, because as you know I just replaced my html website with the new script. However I am at least happy to know that they are on top of the initial oversight of not including this function in the script in the first place.

I don't want to sound like I have all bad things to say about the script because that is not true. Over all I love the new script. As you know from the work you have done for me I plan on taking the new site public through an email newsletter Monday by announcing it. However, after being up only a couple days the site started getting more hits then I have ever had on continuous bases before and it continued nonstop, which I contribute to the new script.

So when I do criticize something, I will always do it diplomatically and fairly. This criticism was duly deserved. It was a large oversight on the developers part, which only makes it hard on the webmasters trying to run a website. I also do appreciate when I get an honest and strange answer, but not when I get a response like "unique for our system" which is nothing more than them saying that the customer is too stupid to understand in the first place so I am just going to tell you that the situation is "unique." That is enough to have pissed anyone off.

Thank you again Jon, and I look forward to the new release.

BTW, am I going to be able to install the new release without it affecting any of the customed work that has already been done?

Don

When it comes to my members who sign up with a handle but when they post a comment it shows their real name, which they don't want they call on me... I usually go through the backend and access the acutal database and change their names...

One thing I found doing this, when i hit ok it changes the date when the original comment was left with the current date..

either way it's more work but it fits me just fine...

I don't understand why when they leave comments it shows their name but when they log in it shows their handle...

Hi Don..

I don't think the new release will affect the changes we've done to your site. Most of what's in the new release is core functionlity, and we didn't modify any of that for you.
