Newsletter shows "Pending" news ?!?!

I have been sending out emails using the newsletter tool but sadly it also sends any articles i have set as pending and archived. surely the system should know not to release these in the newsletter.

Any thoughts?

You should set search_status_limit param to 1, like this:

               <vte:param name="search_status_limit" value="1" />

OK try this and tell me if it doesn't work.

Its still pulling all the "pending" news items.
