Default Forum integration

I've noticed that the Vivvo forum breaks out from the main site frame. Is this how the forum integration works? Does forum integration really just mean user integration and it has nothing to do with the site layout/look?

I'd rather keep my basic site frame (with left side nav, etc) around the integrated forum. Is this possible?

At the moment Vivvo will integrate your vBulletin and SMF users with Vivvo. This will allow your users to log in to the site with their forum accounts. However, full layout integration (by default) is not possible at the moment. You could do a bit of coding yourself to achieve this or include an iFrame.

Wow, that's not what I expected from an "integration". I'm sorry to hear that. Just giving vBulletin the ability to make comments in Vivvo does not seem very useful to me.

Tell me this, then: If I were to use an iframe, and stripped the header and footer from vBulletin, would it appear like it was inside the Vivvo frame and function correctly? Of course, I understand vBulletin has separate controls which would remain, but the header and footer are easily removed. I would be looking to keep the left side nav menu active in Vivvo, and just have a headerless/footerless vBulletin running in the body are of Vivvo.

Also, regarding the "bit of coding" to get vBulleting integrated, can you give me a general idea of what this would be?

The best way to add add vBulletin with Vivvo can be found here.

As you mentioned above, you could remove the vB header and footer an edit the CSS style to make it look like your site. If you are unable to do this and are willing to spare a few bucks on custom work visit the Marketplace forum.

Someone asked about the vB Vivvo skin here...

Good link, and thank you. This is all actually close enough for "integration" as far as I'm concerned (for my purposes) and should work great. I just don't know if Vivvo should go as far as calling it INTEGRATION, but rather USER integration. I've used other CMS's before which truly, and fully integrate the forums (100%). From reading their product descriptions I assumed it was a full integration, which is a little misleading. This is really just a plug in to merge the user table, but vBulletin is "integrated" like any other external PHP script would be.

One problem is that Width and height values are static and i found no way to leave it dynamic and depending on the size of your forum you have to always adjust those values.

Other problem: I couldn't put that in the main menu instead of a link in categories, if someone have any idea...please put here...:-)

Tried to edit pages.tpl adapting thoses values but i could not do that magic :-)
