I've checked all the settings and everything 'looks' fine, however, there is only a red box where the image in the article should be.

See here: http://www.theweighwewere.com/vivvo/

Thanks for any advice

Is GD library active on your server? This might cause the problem...

I am not sure but I would love to get that template! lol That is the exact design I need for a website I am doing. But I need it in different colors which I could do myself. I just need the design layout the same.

Just so I'm clear, should GD be active or deactivated?

Active, of course.

It's active.

Your team has been working in the site, too, and the image are still not displaying (just a red box).

Am I just out of luck?

The template I purchased is trying to call a script called thumbnail.php, however, there's no thumbnail.php anywhere in the zip file.

Can anyone from support address this?

You need to copy thumbnail.php file who was attached in this post to root directory of VIVVO.

After that you need to create 5 folders
VIVVO_ROOT/files/thumbnail/
VIVVO_ROOT/files/thumbnail/article_full/
VIVVO_ROOT/files/thumbnail/gallery/
VIVVO_ROOT/files/thumbnail/headline/
VIVVO_ROOT/files/thumbnail/latest/
You need to set permission for all directory on 777
