I am considering the Professional version for which I had my web host review the requirements. The only question raised was that he does not use Apache. One of the search engine features in your program apparently requires Apache.

My question is, to what extent does this affect the features of the Professional version? In other words, what part(s) of the program might be compromised by not having Apache capabilities?

You can easily run the script under the Win platform, i.e. IIS + PHP + MySQL. The only thing that would not work under this arrangement would be the Search Engine friendly URLs.

I hope this clarifies this issue.

Could someone recommend few web hosts in USA where vivvo cms would be fully (including mod_rewrite & dom_xml ) supported?
thanks

We tested two hosts - Lunarpages and BlueHost, and they work just fine. Other than that, I believe 99% of quality hosting companies allow mod_rewrite and dom_xml. It's quite common these days...
