First few articles I added to the site were fine, click on the catgories and you get a list of articles in that category as expected.

However, we just added this article:

http://www.tourofmull.co.uk/Teams/hopwood_grattidge.html

Article seems fine, but go to the category and there's nothing:

http://www.tourofmull.co.uk/cat/Teams/

I've tried all sorts of settings, but to no avail.

I even moved the article to other categories, where it shows up fine.

I deleted the category and did it again, still no good.

I did have someone alter some templates, but nothing on the admin side.

Any ideas? :(

Best wishes,

Elton

Just to add....

To ensure it wasn't the template, I uploaded a standard category one over it and got the same result.

Can it be the "Number of articles per category" thing? If you have this set on i.e. 5, and enter 6 articles, sixth one will "drop" and go to archive...

You can control that for all categories in Preferences section ("Number of articles per category:", and override for individual categories in Category Management - edit the category and look for "Number of articles" in top part of category options.

Tell me if this works

cheers

I thought that at first, but altering the settings did nothing.

I also noticed that all the others were set to '0'.

However, it has just sorted itself and I have no idea how.....

I went back to preferences, changed the number per category and nothing happened.

Whilst there, i noticed that Latest News and Headlines total boxes were blank (they had been set to 3 and 2 respectively and the site was working to those settings). Anyway, I re-typed them in and the category started working.

I won't even try to work that one out LOL

So what you're saying is Latest News and Headlines setting in Preferences interferes with number of articles within individual categories? Hm... thx for pointing this out, we'll definitely pay closer attention to saving configuration file from Preferences - if these things somehow interfere each other...

Hi Alex,

Not sure what it all means in techy talk, but that's what happened.

As long as it works, I don't mind how :D
