i have questions about "Feed Importer" plugin ..

(1)-can i run my vivvo site fully automated using this plugin for pulling articles from many rss feeds from same site and several sites ?

(2)-can this plugin pull more than just plain text.. can it pull images, video and even text formatting from original articles on the rss feed -i want to pull the full article with every thing in it as if i copy-pasted it- can it do that ?..

(3)- if it can't or its lacking some of what i need then is there another plugin/way to achive that in vivvo?

Yes, I see no reason why not.

This has been discussed many times here on forums, basically, you can customize the plug-in to pull images, however, pulling full articles without the permission of the owner, I don't thing it would be such a good idea :)

No, not at the moment.

yes i know that but i was planing on adding a reference quote msg to let readers know where the article is originaly came from along with a link back to the original article , i think that would clear ant copy right issues..right?..i forgot to ask if that also can be done automaticaly through the plugin or vivvo in general somehow ?

you can customize the plug-in to pull images

when you say "pull images" do you mean ONLY images and no other media like video ,flash,etc... , and is the customizing done from the plugin settings or you mean coding? cause i'm not a developer , just designer and have no idea about php :) ... ,

if it needs coding then can i get it customized for a fee by vivvo dev's ? if so how much would it cost me?

Not sure if the reference link would solve copyright issues, but that's more legal stuff of which I don't know much :)

No, if the website on which article is located doesn't provide full article through RSS, you can only copy/paste it into Vivvo.

I guess it could pull other media too, depends on what's provided in RSS source.

When importing feeds, only about 40% are relevant for us, so to keep the database size down - and reduce scrolling through dozens of pages - it would be desirable to delete the unwanted articles totally.

In theory you can click the LH boxes for a bunch of these and select delete; they disappear all right - but the next day they're back !

Would I be correct in assuming the feed from the source site just rams the whole lot into Vivvo again?

There has to be a better way - I notice this does not happen with the feeds we pull into WordPress sites.
