The xenForo Forum Bridge is intended to be used with Vivvo v4.5.2 and xenForo forum v1.0.1. The bridge integrates these two pieces of software allowing one login, registration, and user modification point for both systems thus comment integration. Integration includes a xenForo Bot, which will automatically create a new topic when a user wishes to discuss/comment the article.

As always, you can download it free from our Resource center:

ftp isn't going to show you the full server path... and you have xf installed in /vb?

Yes. What will show me the full server path?

Nope, it's on my main directory. The vb folder is where xf is. What will show me the full server path?

you can create a phpinfo.php file and put it into your xenforo root directory. That will show you the server path to that directory..

<?php
phpinfo();
?>

btw, it outputs a TON of data.. what you want to look for is this..

Apache Environment

then find SCRIPT_FILENAME. That will show you the path to the phpinfo.php file which is sitting in your xenforo root. it will look something like this..

/home/football/public_html/community/phpinfo.php

You can also use this in xenForo's index.php file:

echo dirname(__FILE__);

This will print out the full path.

Uhm, with this bridge in the comments we will see the forum avatars of users?

yes, if they have a forum avatar, if not, it displays the default vivvo no avatar image

this is a snippit from the xenforo_comments.tpl

<vte:if test="{comment[avatar_url]}">
<img class="avatar" src="{comment[avatar_url]}" alt="avatar" width="40" />
<vte:else>
<img class="avatar" src="{VIVVO_THEME}img/avatar.gif" alt="avatar" width="40" />
</vte:else>
</vte:if>

if you look at class box_xenforo_comments in /plugins/xenforo_bridge/box.php you can see the code that generates them.

If we want to change the forum or user for the bridge, is there a better way to do it than just uninstalling and reinstalling the bridge?

The values are stored in the configuration table.

Look for these 3 variable_name and then edit each row and change the variable_value for each one.
