Email to a Friend function - no root URL

I've come across this problem now with two installs -- the "email to a friend" function doesn't include the root URL in the path that is sent.

Ie. the resultant email contains:

Click the following to access the sent link:
Content/redux.html

As opposed to:

Click the following to access the sent link:
http://www.domainname/content/redux.html

Yup, it doesn't work here either for us too!
