Hi there,
this is actually not a pre-sales question. I own a Vivvo license but never used it ...
Now, I have a request to build a news/blog website, and I started looking into Vivvo again.
Since I love Wordpress, I am trying to find out what more does Vivvo offer. Wordpress is a very mature product, and with the help of powerful templates and plugins, it does not lack any features.
Which one should I choose and why ?
Pls help me out ;-)

My two cents on why. I used Joomla, wordpress then I moved up to paid CMS's from Interspire to now Vivvo. And love Vivvo, the support here is hands down. Now what is support worth ? and when you need it. To me that's worth it all by it self.
Besides CMS's like Joomla and Wordpress just use way too much resources.
Support support support.
Joomla sucks.
It is free, most of plugins are free but if you need to maintain a secure site you would be ending up doing patching every week and that means money as time is money. If you leave your site on install and forget mode be sure to be defaced/hacked some day.

Google loves Vivvo ;~)
Yahoo loves vivvo too, my sites gets on top results in both search engines! :):):)
The riskiest software used by websites in 2010 was the popular blogging platform WordPress. Tens of thousands of unpatched WordPress blogs were used by cybercriminals for various schemes, primarily as part of redirection chains that led to various malware attacks or other blackhat search engine optimization (SEO)-related schemes.
Actually, I think for this one the blame is on webmasters, not actual platform. If you use latest stable release of WP, without 3rd party plugins (only ones released by WP itself) and regularly patch your site - you're pretty much secure.
Problem is 99.5% of people don't do this :)

My site beats all local competition on pretty much any search engine there is. Thanks to Vivvo 4.1.6 :)

If you continue like this, I'll move the topic to Testimonials (http://www.vivvo.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=13) forum :)

How did you move your data from IWP to Vivvo without ruining it? Do share please. Thanks.

I hate what that company is doing to all my sites dependent on Articlelive. They just ruined a perfectly good application with their dumb 5x series...

They didn't force you to upgrade, did they? ;)
They didn't force you to upgrade, did they? ;)I bought it, but I can't use it. It destroys everything I currently have installed. How a company can kill a popular product like that confounds me. Why don't they just sell it to other developers?

yea I have no idea. I really did like it until I used their so called support. However Vivvo is much better.
