I took a deep breath and installed the latest upgrade to Vivvo and, of course, am having problems again. The installer tells me I must change permissions on a set of files that for some reason is refusing to allow me to change permissions (the xhtml files in templates). I have sent a question to my computer guy to find out why I'm getting an operation not permitted message, however, I do have a question for Vivvo.
I am upgrading from 4.1.5.2 to 4.1.6. Yes when I go online to the installer, it tells me it's the Vivvo 4.1.5.2 installer. Does that matter?
thx
Trish

With the various agonies you have battled, wondered if your hosting does not allow 777 permissions ?
One of our hosting services does not allow 777 - but everything works fine using 755.

Are you trying to run the installer from the /installer folder or /upgrade folder?

It was only a couple of files and folders and apparently, ownership somehow got changed when the server software was upgraded. Unfortunately... my computer guy who manages the server went in to correct that first thing this am, but was rushed and at some point, a forward slash got put in the wrong place and... entire server shut down. He's now having to reload everything from Friday's back up for over 500 different websites... yuck. My problems are not so big.
As for the installer... once I upload all the new files, I go to mysite.com and the installer comes up by default. Which, by the way, seems odd as any single person who goes to my website gets this until I finish the install... which is now running on three days. Anyway, when the installer comes up, the tab at the top of Chrome reads "vivvo installer 4.1.5.2" which concerned me a bit as I'm in the process of installing 4.1.6. I'm hoping that was just a naming thing overlooked on the install package.

You could open a support ticket when your server is up and running normally again (just make sure to include admin access details and FTP access details also)
