How to show list of archived articles?

Anyone know of a crafty way to display all archived articles (on the site, not admin) ??

It looks like doing a search for 'a' or 'the' or 'and' is shortcircuited by the code - for good reasons - and returns 0 results but it can be useful to scroll through them quickly so as to see the first few lines.

All archived articles can be found in the archive search (footer of the homepage, URL: mysite/archive), or you can change status of articles to active :)

Yep, already knew that - but want to view ALL archived articles on the site (not from admin) - and quickly scroll down.

Using a wildcard search method ( i.e. search for letter 'a' appears to denied by script - for obvious reasons.)

You can list all archived articles by making a blank search (without entering any keywords) :)
