Hi:
how can i upload a file (image/pdf) in my article?
the abstract image; browse file isnt uploading an image inside the content of the artcle it's uploading it as author image.
and the insert/edit image botton in the WYSIWYG editor only accepts image URL , meaning the image should be online, the question is how can i upload it in the first place.
Thanx
Micha

You should use iBrowser for image uploads.
iBrowser is the icon on the bottom right of your WYIWYG editor next to the printer icon.
From there you can upload image into your article from your hard drive.

Had problems with iBroser as wellbut solved the following way:
Made sure the extension I was trying to use was entered into the "Allowed extensions for upload" in the preferences/general prefs setting.
Then I found there was a permission problems with my tinymce temp dir. After setting the correct permissions for (Chmod 777, it was set to 755 but didn't work): admin/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/ibrowser/temp/
After this ibroser could upload and move the file to the correct folder for general use. No more errors.
hope this helps, if anyone has any clever info to add please do :)
My experience with vivvo is that you have to check every option in the preferences and read the error messages. So far most of my problems where permissions problems.

With the previous version is was much easier to upload images. You could simply click the upload image icon, select image and upload.
I know that the upload of images become a huge security problem but the function is within the protected admin area and would not be a problem or what?

I tested the Ibrowser and it seems a bit stupid.
You cannot just upload an image but must upload it as random image and are only then able to select it displaying in an article. (If you don't use use random image to upload it you get error. If you use random image to upload the damn image link is set as precise that, random image display)
