Goodevening Everyone:
Have been doing some SEO on my site this weekend after reading some tips on the net  ...
 I have just submitted my sitemap URL to "google sitemap" and it has been rejected due to:
Sitemap errors for http://www.vox.gi/index.php?site_map
This Sitemap has the following errors:
Errors
Unsupported file format
Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format. Please ensure it meets our Sitemap guidelines and resubmit. [?]
Is the sitemap module really google compatible or am I missing something?

http://www.vox.gi/index.php?site_map is not Google Sitemap compatible, it is purely the link for normal sitemap page for human visitors.
Our Sitemap Plugin generates also Google Sitemap, which is generated in www.YourSite.com/sitemap.xml (http://www.YourSite.com/sitemap.xml), and it is valid. Therefore, in your case, try submiting www.vox.gi/sitemap.xml (http://www.vox.gi/sitemap.xml)
It will work :)

Thanks for that Boccio, sorry for missing that.:o
Will give it a try later and post results here.
Thanks again for your help.
Gus
Gus, You have a great site. Your site was one of several I found using Vivvo to successfully incorporate a large number of articles that convinced me to go with Vivvo myself.
One small suggestion. I noted in http://www.vox.gi/index.php?news=1904 for example the text runs right up to the secondary photos in the articles. Adding a bit of vertical and horizontal space to the photos under the "appearance tab" of "insert/edit image" helps with readability I think.

Hi again:
Ok I submitted the new link which in turn has opened other errors ...
Invalid date
Errors in line numbers: 5, 9, 13, 17, 21, etc etc
and it stops at line 41 where it says
An invalid date was found. Please fix the date or formatting before resubmitting.
I have checked the .xml file and errors appear to be at entries with empty <lastmod/> tags
and also these dates
<lastmod>2007-02-16 00:00:00</lastmod>
Originally Vivvo staff imported entries from my previous's CMS database - could this have something to do with this?
How can I fix this?
Thanks again
Gus

Hi Dave thanks for the tip, I have been trying to change the padding but I just get to move the image but not the text.
You mention the "appearance tab" of "insert/edit image"
 I dont seem to have any options whatsoever for this, just a plain insert image button.
Below is a screenshot of my add image screen - is yours different to this? -

Hi Gus,
I don't know if you are using the Vivvo wysiwyg editor in the CMS Admin panel or uploading files another way. When I open an article under the CMS administration panel, "Article Management" and "manage article options" I see the article with photos in the wysiwyg editor. If I right-click on the photo and select "image properties" I get a popup window. The second tab on that window is "appearance" and in that window I can add "vertical space" and "horizontal space." I've been using a setting of 9, which leaves a small margin around the photo.

Hi Dave
Yes I am adding images via the wysiwyg editor like you say but when I click on the image I just get the standard menu (as if I had clicked on an image on a standard webpage).
I'll have to open a ticket and ask the support team what's wrong.
I have to say that I actually have been avoiding adding images in articles because I can't really control layout. I have been moving images left or right by editing the sources code instead.
I dont know about yours, but when I look at source code all the spacing between lines has been removed making finding image lines in all that text quite timeconsuming specially in a long article .
I just upgraded to v3.4, but have never had this image properties in this or my previous version.
Thanks for pointing this out, I might have something missing in my install.

Hi Dave:
I opened a ticket and viola I now have the latest editor installed in the CMS. :) Apparantly I had an older version. New ones great has tons more features than what I had been using.
Must congratulate Vivvo support on their quick action to resolve this problem - I opened the ticket yesterday evening and its all done now.
 Thanks again Dave for pointing this out & thanks to Vivvo Support for resolving the issue.

Hi Boccio:
Any ideas on my previous post "More Errors" in the Sitemap? :(
Just to recap errors now are:
Invalid date
Errors in line numbers: 5, 9, 13, 17, 21, etc etc
and it stops at line 41 where it says
An invalid date was found. Please fix the date or formatting before resubmitting.
Should I submit a ticket on this issue?
Thanks
Gus

Hi:
Just to let the thread know that I opened a ticket and Vivvo support resolved the sitemap issue...
Your sitemap was fixed and we checked it against validator. Works normally now. The problem was in the plugin itself.
Thanks again to Vivvo support and all who helped.
