Hi,
my boss found this site and wanted me to get more information about script.

What he wants to know is if we can add related or featured content at the bottom of the page just before the footer?

He wants a picture and some text in a rectangle box. We are not very web savvy and wondered if it is easy to do?

Would this site also create sections for different cities?

As he wants a version for London and one for Manchester? How would that work?

Thanks in advance

Hey cat - and welcome. Tell your boss this is hands down the best system you can use.

And yes to all I believe. Just depends on how he/she wants things laid out. You can call virtually any and all content however you would like. Very few, if any limiations that I have found. Of course, there are a lot of things that you may need to be "web savy" - or have some ability to understand the coding aspect of things.

Things like London vs. Manchester - doable as well. Unless Micha, Boccio or one of the other Vivvo team know of a way - the best thing I could suggest is having something like a PHP command to watch incoming IP's that will direct them to specific areas of the site.

Hope that helps!

Someone in the office said sub domains could work, as in have different versions of the site going to different sub domains. Is that possible?

Thanks for joining our community and evaluating Vivvo for your website :)

This is fairly easy to do, however in order to adjust layout and different article lists to your needs you need to be a bit savvy. Of course, nobody expects you to be an expert in web design and/or Vivvo, and that is why we offer you various customization services, or give you option to hire someone do do this for you, either on Marketplace (http://www.vivvo.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=16) forum or one of our VCD's (Vivvo Certified Developers (http://www.vivvo.net/partners.php)).

Yes, sub-domains could work. You can have http://manchester.site.com, and http://london.site.com, but the only problem is how to determine to redirect visitors to appropriate area. Of course, you can always have one landing page (like root), and then allow visitors to choose appropriate area.
