Is it possible to replace the vivvo search with google search? Anyone doing this?

I just tried a few minutes ago and kept getting 404's lol..

Im actually working with the Google Custom Search API right now for a client and wanted to see what this widget does..

just for those that want to know.. this works flawlessly with 4.1.1 and the business version of Google CSE (Custom Search Engine) ..

Anyone that has a need for cross site searching should take a serious look into this.. it takes all of a few minutes to impliment and rids you of 100s of hours of writing a custom cross site search script (plus no load on YOUR servers to do this) ..

I think you should have no issues if you use this widget with 4.0.3.
But, it's always better to download and try it yourself :)

Any updates for 4.6? I can't find this widgit anywhere so I did it "Google's way"

... but it doesn't work. I put the results page in it's own folder with an .htaccess (the "turn off rewrite"" one)

I get directed to the results page ... no problem ... but the actual iframe code from Google doesn't work. Just an empty space on the page where it is placed.

Any ideas?

Is there anything like Google search widget which we can simply install on the website and run easily alongside vivvo search ?
