Is there anyone having issues with the the 'Google Big
Daddy' effect of pages being listed then dropped or put on a sub index (ie archived), I am having huge problems in the past month with my site and looking on a number of SEOP forums there seems to be issues with content on dynamic sites, is anyone else having this issue? If we are does that questions the use of Vivvo?
Thanks
Paul

"Bigdaddy" - an update to google search algorithm was introduced to a 66.249.93.104 datacenter in February... 10 months ago. And it's not deliberately pushing content of dynamic sites in supplemental index (sub index), here's an example for our official demo:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=a+site%3Ademo.vivvo.net&btnG=Google+Search
112 pages on Demo site up, none of them in supplemental (sub)index. A key to maintaining all the pages in main index (hence having good SERPs, of course :D) is having:
- unique TITLE and META description for each page (*)
- unique content
- good footprint of site and easily accesible sitemap for SE crawlers (*)
And of course, having quality back-links to several different landing pages of your site. With this in mind, Google will be your friend, not enemy :)
(*) - Vivvo CMS does this automatically, with SiteMap plug-in.

Don't really understand all that, but I substituted one of my own url's in Boccio's link and found a whopping 32,700 matches, many of which appear to be Vivvo content:

Thanks for both your replies, I am fully away aware of the background of Big Daddy and the search the you have shown here, shows all listings including the primary index and the sub index (which Google doesn't really pull from as it sees it as archived content).
Elton, I agree that when you carry out that search on the search included you get a large amount of pages recovered, but when you do a sear on the anglersnet.co.uk (displaying the primary index) you hardly get anything back that from anything which is published via Vivvo, most of the pages you get back from Google are your links script and your forum.
There are a number of suggestions of experts such as Matt Cutts etc on how to work with Google and not make the content want to archive this content.
From my research, a number of affiliates who use press releases / articles to generate traffic to their site have had their income wiped out because of this archiving.

Why don't you share your website URL with us, so we can analyze it? Suppose it would be better to make an analysis on real website.
On the other hand, I'm fully aware of suggestions that come from Google "insiders" such as Matt Cutts, but they can't be generalized as some sort of rule.

I just made another search to distinct Vivvo pages from others. I used the term "sort by" that appears only in header of category pages of Vivvo. My aim was to make a clear distinction whether all the category pages are properly indexed, and within main index (not archive). Here are the results:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=sort+by+site%3Aanglersnet.co.uk&btnG=Google+Search
As you can see, all the categories are there...
Btw, I'd really love to see your website URL - playing with Google SERPs, algorithms and optimisation in general is my favorite hobby :D

btw, one thing just crossed my mind - make sure you're not using NO FOLLOW, NO INDEX tags for articles, or custom robots.txt file to prevent engines from crawling portions of your site.

As I said before, this is all beyond me. However, can I just add that I'm glad that these things are being discussed by you two with a view to sorting any issues and improving Vivvo further.
I'm sure I speak for any website owner, as we'd all like to get the best we can from SE's, with minimal effort.
Keep it up, guys.

:) I update the class file functions... to make it more google friendly... if u want it PM me
I wouldn't recommend anyone doing any script/file transfer over PM.
If you have updated the sitemap.class.php, I suggest you upload it here, in public. That way everyone interested can download it, and we can inspect and confirm the validity.

I've been looking at my sites and have noticed this happening now. For example:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=a+site%3Aaskanglers.co.uk
That used to have loads of pages ranked. :(

But it may be the issue I have raised on this thread about Google archiving static content.
