The IPB Forum Bridge is intended to be used with Vivvo CMS and IP.Board Bridge forum (http://www.invisionpower.com/). The bridge integrates these two pieces of software allowing one login, registration, and user modification point for both systems thus comment integration. Integration includes a IPB Bot, which will automatically create a new topic when a user wishes to discuss/comment the article.

The plug-in is free, it is available in the Resources Center (http://www.vivvo.net/resources/downloads/Plug-ins/ipb-bridge.html) and public documentation is located in docs section of our website.

This has some problem. I installed it and it lets you login through the login box to the forum BUT you cannot access the admin panel. I tried to access every single page in the admin panel with it : articles.php, comments.php but it wont let me get through the login screen. Even on the main index page, in the bottom where its supposed to show the "Site administration" link once I login as the admin, it aint there.

So let me make sure I did everything right:

1. IPB url : worked
2. IPB FS root : worked

Took me to the next page where all the user groups were listed
3. IPB User ID : I put "admin" as this was the first id created on the forums
4. IPB Forum ID: I put "News" which is an actual forum in the ipb board
5. I selected the admin group for the admin/editors and mods for the writer groups in vivvo and all the other groups as members

What am I doing wrong? How do I access the admin panel?

I found that the plugin change something in my sql.

You need to connect to your database. You will find in the table of your vivvo, a table called "Configuration".

You will find a variable name called "VIVVO_USER_SOURCE". You need to edit that variable name.

In the variable_value you need to put vivvo@localhost instead of ipb@localhost.

After you will be able to connect to your admin of your Vivvo.

If I do that, it just reverts the users to the vivvo registered users i.e. breaks the link with IPB

My forum is installed in the subdirectory "forums", so should I make it forums@localhost? what about the class.php files?

Just got back from a week away to see this announcement.

Should I contain my excitement a bit and wait until a few people can confirm that they have it working before I install it, do you think?

That's the best solution right now

You're right - it's causing me issues :(

If I uninstall it via admin, will things revert back to how they were?

if you change ipb@localhost into vivvo@localhost as j_corruiz said, you will be able to use the comments from the ipb forum category and with the user you specified in the installation of the ip.board bridge, but you will not log in to the admin area of vivvo with the ipb username, you have to log in with your vivvo username.

As with the VBulletin plug-in, it ground my server to a halt. Both sites were on separate servers, too.

Are there any functional installs out there to view as a demo?
