It would be great if users had the option to rate more things... including:

Photos
Links

You can rate photos, if single photo is uploaded as article using gallery layout .tpl. As for links, I'm not sure why would you rate a link in news publishing software :)

Our site has mostly original content but also serves as a portal. We want people to be able to rate blogs, products and other things we link to.
