Once the site search has been used a few times by a user, it's starts to predict search results before you have finished typing in the search criteria. We’ve had complaints about this from users (!) What’s the easiest way to disable the function? (version 3.1)

I'll answer myself before anyone else does! It's been a long day. I realise that it's the browsers that are using stored info to display the suggested search entries.
