We are proud to announce that from this week phpWordPress will live under a new name – Vivvo.

Vivvo Article Management CMS will inherit the v3.25 release version of phpWordPress. The website and all of its contents will be moved to the new domain www.vivvo.net (http://www.vivvo.net/).
All the product licenses and benefits our clients have will remain the same. All the license holders will continue receiving support, upgrades and all the other benefits they have been receiving until now.

If you have any questions regarding this transition, feel free to share them here.

I'll ask the obvious one, then - why?

To avoid any confusion with a recently "monetized" WordPress blogging software. We have great plans for VIVVO, just stay tuned!

Is/was that the open source one? I did stumble across one thread on a search once where Boris was involved. They even posted a link to a pic to him on an Elite Security site. Was that really our Boccio? I couldn't understand the site.....it's almost like you guys talk in a foriegn language :D

Yes, that was also one of the things that caused confusion that we want to avoid. We're having big plans for our Article Management CMS, and apart from more agressive marketing and PR, rebranding is also a must in our agenda.

As one of your 'old' customers, I reserve the right to live in the past and still use your old domain name for email....please don't fail to renew it :D

Forgive me if this is a dumb question but was PHPWordpress part of Wordpress (the open source blog platform)?

Not at all, it was just an issue with names.
