Is it possible to hide the [visit website] link on the index page? I only want to show it under sub page where visitor has to click and view the full text. By the way, which file allowed us to edit the Latest Additions?

Remove it from the language file, that's the easiest way. Not sure what you want to edit in Latest Additions? It is usually configured within Preferences section.
