Ho do you set only members can post comment?
Currently, any user can post comment as long they type in their name, email and captcha.
thanks.

You have an option 'Must be member to post comment' in your Administration - Preferences - Comments.

I've missed about that option. Thanks a lot.

It would appear that option was removed from vivvo 4.1.2.

Anyway to fix this?

UPDATE: Nevermind... I found it. The settings have been moved to the 'User' section. Basically, remove the privilege from the 'Guest' group.

I want to show 'Must be member to post comment' text if user not logged in. before it was like that in my theme but at the moment normal comment form is shown. how can I change it?

This could be something, that you could modify... we turn off comments on specific articles and this is what is displayed...

<vte:if test="{article.show_comment}">
<vte:include file="{VIVVO_TEMPLATE_DIR}box/comments_add.tpl" />
<vte:else>
<h4>This story is either no longer accepting comments or comments have been disabled.</h4>
</vte:else>
</vte:if>

this is not what I want exactly :) if user logged in to system I want to show comment-add.tpl but if user not logged in I want to show for example "in order to send your comment register or log in to system"

OK I got it... wouldn't it be like this... I think this would work. You would edit your templates/TEMPLATE/article/article.tpl

<vte:if test="{CURRENT_USER}">
<vte:include file="{VIVVO_TEMPLATE_DIR}box/comments_add.tpl" />
<vte:else>
<h4>You Must be a member to post a comment</h4>
</vte:else>
</vte:if>

Or you can goto your admin section ... admin/preferences.php?comments and activate must be a member to post comments.

You can find the template that is managing the article pages inside of the templates/xhtml/article/default.tpl. And there you can "comment out" the comments.

Or inside of the admin > Preferences > Comments the settings for the comments showing.

OK I see the file

Tried that, saved file, refreshed, can download modified file so my changes took place -
reopened Vivvo in new browser - comments still visible

Went to Admin section , preferences

values are set to zero - no change

what next ?
