Edit your templates/xhtml/box/footer.tpl template and remove this block of code:

<vte:box module="box_sections">
<vte:params>
<vte:param name="id" value="0" />
</vte:params>
<vte:template>
<ul>
<vte:foreach item = "category" from = "{categories}">
<vte:if test="{category.view_subcat}">
<li>
<a href="{category.get_href}">
<vte:value select="{category.category_name}" />
</a>
</li>
</vte:if>
</vte:foreach>
</ul>
</vte:template>
</vte:box>

Okay, the menu in footer you said can be removed by removing a code on some TPL file, and I did it, it's okay now.
But in some templates above the footer, after the articles on HOMEPAGE, it's showing a MENU , something like this what is talking the user above

home page | catigoris | articale titel

How can that be removed?

Not sure what might be the issue here :confused:

Mr.T referred here to category breadcrumb with Arabic translations.

By default footer have two lines of links:

1. Top level categories

2. Miscellaneous links (Home | Set as homepage | Add to favorites | Rss / Atom | Plain text | Archive | Site administration)

The block above refers only for removing top level categories.

If you want to remove the second line also, go to your footer.tpl and delete following block of code:

<div class="static_footer">
<img src="{VIVVO_URL}cron-image.php" style="display:none;" />
<a href="{VIVVO_URL}"><vte:value select="{LNG_GO_HOME}" /></a> |
<a onclick="this.style.behavior='url(#default#homepage)';this. setHomePage('{VIVVO_URL}');" href="#"><vte:value select="{LNG_SET_HOMEPAGE}" /></a> |
<a href="javascript:bookmarksite('{TITLE}',document.URL);"><vte:value select="{LNG_ADD_FAVORITES}" /></a>
<vte:if test="{VIVVO_MODULES_FEED}">
| <a href="{CURRENT_URL|switch_format:'rss'}">Rss</a> / <a href="{CURRENT_URL|switch_format:'atom'}">Atom</a>
</vte:if>
<vte:if test="{VIVVO_MODULES_PLAINTEXT}">
| <a href="{CURRENT_URL|switch_format:'txt'}"><vte:value select="{LNG_PLAIN_TEXT}" /></a>
</vte:if>
<vte:if test="{VIVVO_MODULES_ARCHIVE_VIEW}">
|
<vte:if test="{VIVVO_FRIENDY_URL}">
<a href="{VIVVO_URL}archive"><vte:value select="{LNG_ARCHIVE}" /></a>
<vte:else>
<a href="{VIVVO_URL}index.php?archive"><vte:value select="{LNG_ARCHIVE}" /></a>
</vte:else>
</vte:if>
</vte:if>
<vte:if test="{CURRENT_USER.is_admin}">
| <a href="{VIVVO_URL}admin/index.php"><vte:value select="{LNG_SITE_ADMINISTRATION}" /></a>
</vte:if>
</div>

O.K.
Go to your admin --> Preferences --> Categories --> Page elements tabs --> Article List/More News

and set the categories that you want to display.

Chose for example 4 or 6 categories to see what it will looks like

No no, nothing happening. I'm talking about that in red, I've marked that in red, not with black, but in red.

Sounds to me like you want to remove this section:

<!-- Main news section -->

Remove all until (and including) </vte:box> and see if it helps.

It's of course in the /box/homepage/default.tpl template. :)

Of my God :) it is removing many things, also that what I want to remove, but it removes many other things :)
So, let me try if I Can find to remove only what I need.

Guys, the category menu is on left, that's okay . . . but the categories also appear there where I have marked on the picture, and I don't want them there :) do you understand me now?

Well, how about trying to remove one thing at a time...I don't understand what is written on your page so I must admit that I'm at a loss as to exactly which part you want to remove.

Micha

Well, theodore gave you one of the solutions, kovacs also wrote one of the solutions.

Now sounds to me that you want to display just a list of articles here in one column, right?

You can do that by removing <!-- Main news section --> block of code as kovacs said, and instead of that, you can include latest news template:

<vte:include file="{VIVVO_TEMPLATE_DIR}box/latest_news.tpl" />

Now, latest news displays only a simple list of articles, title only, and if you want to change that go to your box/latest_news.tpl template and instead of this include

<vte:include file="{VIVVO_TEMPLATE_DIR}summary/title_only.tpl" />
(it appears on two places in template)

place this

<vte:include file="{VIVVO_TEMPLATE_DIR}summary/default.tpl" />

Later if you want articles displayed in two or three columns, you can change that from your Vivvo Administration >> Preferences >> Articles >> Page elements tab >> Article list - Latest news.

There you can also set from which categories to pull articles, Number of news and Display order.
