There is a number of websites with above 20-30,000 active articles, most of them use private labeling and therefore cannot be referenced publicly without explicit permission.

the artickle number is very high :) how many unique visitors you have in a day. I had many problems before in shared hostings over 1000 unique visitors :)

This isn't related to big databases, but does anyone know how to put that cool "page turning" ad that Theodore has on his site, up in the right hand corner?

You can see it at: http://www.madata.gr

Thanks!

Google "page peel script" and you will find quite a few. I haven't tried any of them though.

northlandadv, nice site. How you write so many articles? Do you outsource?

northlandadv

There is more than one contributor, and many feeds. A majority of the articles come from Feeds.

We just hit Total of 1010 articles posted, is not alot but the system is doing great no slow downs at all... I like it... I want to see when we hit those 10K articles, our page is been filled with...

4 regular writers
3 Admins
1 Webmaster
and thats about it... about 5 to 10 new articles per day...

We have about 2,200 articles, mostly press releases, commentaries and reviews from about May 2000-today. We ported our site to Vivvo two weeks ago and so far we are very happy with it.

On my test server Vivvo add about 5,000-8,000 articles per day, and the main page load a bit slow, how can I improve the performance? If I archive every day the news the performance can be improved? So, How can I modify the single search to find in my entire database and not only in the current day?
