How do I put HTML banner links on an article?

Like if I have an article on a book and I want to put an HTML banner link to buy the book from my amazon.com affiliate account how would I do that?

I tried just pasting the HTML on the article but all you see is the code (you can still click on it) but I want the banner to show up.

Maybe you can try this:

If you want this HTML code to execute (some 3rd party banner image), you need to switch to "HTML view" in WYSIWYG editor, and paste the code. This way it should work properly.

HTML view, you mean “view source”?

Do I need to put a tag at the beginning and end of the HTML?
