When you delete an article, the image you uploaded for that article are not removed as well. And are left behind in the files directory.
Not a good idea that, as you could finish up using loads of server space because you have left over images in the files directory that are orphan images because you deleted the article in question it was used with. And it would be a real nightmare if you has a couple of thousand articles posted, and you was having to search through all the images in the files folder to try and delete the ones manually that are orphaned images.
When an article is deleted, really all images - be them full size, thumbnails etc (in the different image size folders). Should all be removed as well.

Thank you for pointing that to us. This is known as a garbage collector.
We will take into consideration to fix it in one of our next patches.

Just for the record, I see two problems that exist so far in Vivvo 4.0 that need fixing, or the features being removed completely. In the image settings - there are two settings tfor image sizes that are currently not being used at all anyway on the site. These are "Article Large" and "Article Small" image dimension settings. These two settings really should either be removed, or fixed to work. Rather than them just being there as two obsolete options to setup right now.
The "Article Large" setting can be changed to work the FULL ARTICLE page, to display "Article Large" images there (which currently uses "Article Medium" Image settings). However, I'm not sure where you can make use of the "Article Small" image settings.

I don't see this as "non-working" features, rather as user-friendly options... The system allows three default image sizes, and it is up to you to adjust small/medium/large throughout the system anyway you find suitable...
I really can't see why you find this option obsolete - just because you don't use small images, it doesn't mean that all other Vivvo users do not use it as well :)

OK, lets say you have 10,000 articles on your site. And one day you decide you want to gain some server space back by deleting old images left behind from articles you might have deleted. You do realize your going to be searching through 10,000 images to try and find the obsolete ones to remove. Wonder if you would think it's such a User Friendly idea then, when your pulling your hair out - in trying to filter through them all to delete the ones not being used. :D
When they could have been deleted, along with the article when that was removed.
I really can't see why you find this option obsolete - just because you don't use small images, it doesn't mean that all other Vivvo users do not use it as well
Very simple, If I enable a option in the admin area. I expect it to be used somewhere on the site. Otherwise whats the point of it even being there to setup in the first place?

You have the point there... But I believe it is not the issue with different image sizes, rather with implementation of better garbage collector...

The Large Article image dimension's setting can be fixed. The Full Article page on your site uses the same image dimensions as the Rotating Images. Article Medium settings. Just change the Full Article page to use Article Large image dimensions, thats one issue fixed and that feature will be used on your site. As for Small Image dimensions (not sure about that). Can't really see for now where that could be used for images on the CMS. As 80X80 is used to display images as the side of the Rotating images, and no smaller images than 80X80 warrant to be shown anywhere else right now that would use 32X32 Article Small.
