Go to templates\xhtml\summary\default.tpl

Save that template as default_latest.tpl for example in same folder.

Edit your newly created default_latest.tpl template and remove following code:

<span class="summary"><vte:value select="{article.get_summary}" /></span><vte:if test="{article.body}">...</vte:if>

Open your templates\xhtml\homepage\default.tpl and on lines 39 and 44:

<vte:include file="{VIVVO_TEMPLATE_DIR}summary/default.tpl" />

change default.tpl to default_latest.tpl

And that should be it :)

Anyway to make it so that the body of the article with n words shows instead of the summary. We have a section where we need the summaries for another section, but not the one in question.

This would be quite simple :)

Just don't insert anything in "Abstract" field when you compose your article.

By default it will show first 25 words of the article body. (not sure about the number of words though, but I think it's about 25.)

Well...we realized that much! ;) We use the abstracts as links to the articles as we can make them nice and short. They are too short to use as summaries though, hence our current dilemma. Any other ideas?
