Public Article Submission.

I want companies and individuals to be able to submit articles to my news site. Does phpWordPress have the feature? How do I set up a link on my site?

Yes, phpWordPress is a fully multi-user publishing system with individual publishing rights. You can create writer/editor accounts for companies/individuals and let them publish content in predefined categories, as well as system wide.

This can be done rather easily. The way I see it there are two ways:
1. You can grant "public" writer user/pass, and people can sign-in and post articles
2. There is embedded "guest" level access that can be utilized to allow public access to writing articles

Each way you go, it's rather straightforward...

Why can't there be a form where they can submit an article instead of giving them writer status or something like that.

I would love to have my readers to be able to submit their articles via a form. Then I would be notified of a new article that has been submitted. The form would contain the person's name, phone (private), and e-mail (private). Then if I wanted to then I could hit "ADD ARTICLE" and it would be added to the mix of articles with their name as author, but they wouldn't be signed up as a writer, etc.

I would gladly like to see this feature.

Maybe a simple way like {guest_submit_article} would automaticaly post the form seen in the admin panel.
