SEF Output To Include Article Number

Have a question regarding the output of the SE friendly URLs.

If we do not give the url a name (e.g mystory_today.html) it will automaticly give the article a number i.e - I am on article number 475 so it will generate article page 475.html

My question? Is there anyway we can give our articles our desired SE name and also include the article number on the URL?

So it would be mystory_today_475.html? :o

This is a bit tricky one and it requires excessive code customization.
