How does the non-VB commenting system work?

Do commenters have to sign up before they can post comments?
Can non-registered readers post?
Are these comments still subject to Admin approval before they show?
Does the system still track IPs?

When VB is intergrated...
Do all fresh articles automatically start a new thread (with the article in it) in VB? (That's the way Subdreamer does it. You can actually select a forum for your article to appear in)

I'm strongly considering dumping the VB integration...

Thank you.

This is all up to Admin. Check Preferences -> Comments, you can set all these options there.

No, the thread is created when the very first commenter clicks on "Post a comment".

It should be possible to add comments, even if you're not a member of the integrated forum...or logged in. Even if you have no email address.

Comments should not be restricted to forum members only.

I'm not sure what do you refer to?

If you use Vivvo comments, you can set up your website so anyone can post, member or not. If you use vBulletin comments, then it's up to vB, not us.

Got my answer in the Admin area after posting. My apologies.
