Hi,

I want to know if it's possible to prevent the parent categories appears empty.

If I put an article in the parent category appears all the subcategories, but I want to know if it's possible to solved this. (like older versions)

Go to your templates\xhtml\category\default.tpl template and move this include:

<vte:include file="{VIVVO_TEMPLATE_DIR}box/subcategory_headlines.tpl" />
should be around line 36

right bellow </vte:if> tag (should be around line 40)

Hope it helps.

Just what I needed. Works great :)

We also use subcategories with no articles posted in the parent category:
Local
Local News
Local Sports
etc., etc....

So moving that template down avoids having a blank categorie page.

Additionally, I commented out /templates/xhtml/category/default.tpl this block to prevent the notice:

<vte:else>
<!-- disabled as we use sub-cats
<vte:value select="{LNG_NO_ENTRIES}" />
-->
</vte:else>
</vte:if>
<vte:include file="{VIVVO_TEMPLATE_DIR}box/subcategory_headlines.tpl" />
