I am going to have a portal with several pages with different content.
Users upon registration should be able to choose their favorite page(some kind of subscription thing).
When then the user logs in he should be redirected to that specific page that he chose upon registration.
Is this possible with Vivvo?

I think something like this it will be included at the next major release of vivvo 4.1 (2Q08)

I think that the point of e-mail activation function is to ensure that the registration e-mail is valid and the user has access to this e-mail to avoid spam users activations
If the activation url was at the same page of the success message there was no point at all to have e-mail activation function enabled
This is my point of view

I understand this, but I don't want to send email activation but to have them activate their registration. but I want them to click the link to activate their registration.
or would it be possible to have a captcha image to reveal the link to them so they don't have to wait on the email that doesn't come to them. (My email server doesn't work right at this time)
I don't have a problem with spam and it only takes what seems 1 click to delete.
So is it possible to incorporate this into the success message showing the activation link as it appears in the email address they provide.

Most probably yes via some customization... Why don't you take this to Marketplace forum?

I would say you can definitely do this with Vivvo, but you will need to use custom field mapping (ie, add new fields to your tblUser table) and create some custom modules. Not very difficult but requires some coding skills.
