Another hyperlink bug

I've found another problem with hyperllnks that I hope someone can help with. When I select "Insert link" and past the URL into the box, TinyMCE is removing part of the URL, so that instead of http://www.*myforum*.com/content/Hardware/Articles/49.html it ends up as http://www.*myforum*.com/Hardware/Articles/49.html. I've tried every thing I can think of, including editing the HTML code, but nothing works. Any suggestions?
