Is there some download manager available for integration in Vivvo?

I have a lot of zip's and other files that I would like provide for download to my users & visitors. It needs to have options like file categories & file description.

Not that I'm aware of... I think there wasn't any attempt to integrate download manager, but I might be wrong.

Is it possible to integrate some of alredy existing download managers written in PHP?

Most probably yes, however we do not have any experience with it - never tried it. If you're willing to give it a go, keep us posted, we'll give you a hand if we can.
