Can anyone tell me what this drop down is for?

Here is an image of it, it is below the author... what is that? Nothing shows

according to beta1 it must show the registered users there.

This drop-down is available only to admin, shows a list of authors if you want to assign an article to someone else.

Here's a shot from my computer, no idea why it doesn't show up to you? What browser and version is this?

Browser is IE7, Safari, Firefox.

The authors would be from my vb as I have set that up in the admin area, maybe that is why it is not showing up?
