Can I remove this image from catagory "TV"

Hi Vivvo crew :)

I am just finishing a new site, so please excuse the attached pictures, its not quite finished.

One of my catagories is "TV" where I am using the "Media Streaming" vivvo plugin.

My problem is how can I attach an image so it shows in the "all TV news" list, but when the topic is opened, the Image does not appear?

Obviously I dont want this to happen with every catagory only the "TV" catagorie.

Can any one lend some knowledge on how to do this.

I'm afraid this can't be done. While you can have custom template for each respective category, the system shares one and only Article template. So if you would remove abstract image from the full article template, it would remove it from all articles in all categories.

is there any work around you can think of, like creating a new template for the catagory?

What about when adding a movie to the article, could it be possible to somehow show a frame from the movie instead of an abstract image.

Here's how it can be done:

1. Create custom category template for TV category (lets call it ctg_tv.tpl) in Template Manager.
2. Copy /templates/article_Full.tpl file into /templates/content/ folder, and rename it to ctg_tv.tpl

You can use this template for the custom full article template only for TV category.

This is available from 3.51 version.

thanks, I tried what you suggested, and set the TV catagory to ctg_tv.tpl, it opened the catagory as an article, can I add the custom ctg_tv.tpl to the TV articles.

i hope I am making sense, thanks for your advice.
